better than most

Being a fan of Dave Grohl,Foo fighters and Nirvana I have read every book published on the subjects and nothing new is ever revealed .Most of the material can already be found in magazines already published however Nothing Left To Lose did reveal things about Dave Grohl that had not been revealed before as far as I am aware.The book was very interesting and well written.

As a long time fan of the Seattle scene in the 80s and 90s, I was ecstatic when the first Foo cd dropped. This book is a great read and goes into all the areas of Grohl's life and band while staying out of the private side that he treasures. I highly recommend this book if you are a fan or Grohl or rock-n-roll in general.

A Fun Read...

Being a huge fan of the body of work of Dave Grohl (or so I believed before I read this book), my family knew what to get me for Christmas. I absolutely loved this book. It was a very factual and fascinating read, littered with snippets from the man himself and those who have been important around him, including his former and current colleagues. It is also littered with technical errors that I believe totally should have been spotted by an editor (hence only a four star review), but I know I'm more than a little nit-picky about grammar and proper punctuation. The only reason I say that I thought I was a huge fan of D.G.'s body of work before is because I foolishly underestimated how involved of a musician this man was, so much so that he has a 16 page discography in the back of this book. I'm just glad I have more to discover! Overall (TL;DR version): a fun read for those who appreciate one of modern rock's finest talents.
